The IAMAS is one of the constituent Associations of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics. All countries which adhere to the Union, including Associate Countries (Members), are Adhering (Member) Countries of the Association and are qualified to appoint delegates to the Association’s General Assemblies.

The ICAE, as a Commission of the IAMAS, fulfills the rules stated in the Bylaws of the IAMAS with the exception of declarations and specifications in the Bylaws of the ICAE.

To stimulate discussion, presentation and publication of scientific results that relate to electrical phenomena in the atmosphere.

To promote education and public awareness of electrical phenomena in the atmosphere.

3. Organs of the ICAE

The International Commission on Atmospheric Electricity comprises:

  1. The Officers
  2. The Executive Committee

4. The Officers of the ICAE

  1.
